yeah, the two halves are just bolted together. Fronts use 17mm bolt heads and rears use 14mm. There is a small O-ring between the halves that has to be reused

yeah, the two halves are just bolted together. Fronts use 17mm bolt heads and rears use 14mm. There is a small O-ring between the halves that has to be reused when reassembling, and you should also loctite them when reassembling.
Personally, I coat both halves when doing a job, because it is more proper, imo, but sometime after the initial run of 09s, Nissan realized there was no need to paint the back halves and stopped doing it.
