Default Need some help removing spare tire mount

Gents,

I'm installing a new sub box in my spare tire area but need to remove the spare tire mount. Thus far I've tried to hammer and jimmy it out without any luck. I believe it's welded on. Has anyone every removed this piece from the spare tire area? If so your insight of how you did would be greatly appreciated.

Please check the pictures for reference

Thanks!

Just drill the welds out but don't go thru the second layer of metal just the thickness of the mount and hit it with a hammer it will come off.
