Just a quick FYI if you need to replace your start button with a stock one.... I was doing some research a few months ago as I'm going to be building a keyless ignition for my 280ZX and I wanted to use the start button from the 370Z (like how it looks white then lights up orange like the rest of the console on both cars). Turns out the Altima and Maxima start buttons are almost half the price of the 370Z and GTR and one of the two (Alitma/Maxima) is identical and the other is virtually identical. I'd have to look and see which one was which. I would like to get the plug for it.

Also the switch is fairly easy to open up. I've got a pinout for the switch. You can change the surface mount LEDs as well if you want to change the backlight colour. I'm not sure how effective it would be for the GTR button but it should work well with the opaque white on the 370Z/Maxima/Altima (and probably others but the Maxima/Altima were the cheapest when I was looking).

If someone knew a place to get the plug for the back of the buton that would be cool.....

Outside of a wrecked one at a Wrecking yard probably not. The dealers not going to sell you just that connector. Since the connector is hidden you have a better chance of making your own.

My button came today. My wife teased me with it over a video chat

Then she threatened to do the install herself

I told her I get to do the first mod on my car dammit.

Women have no place grilling or putting in red buttons.

Finally got mine last night and put it in. All I can say is pictures do no justice to how much better this looks.

That's what I figured for wiring harness stuff.... I'll make my own or a pigtail with another connector...
