For further clarification, the screw that is being removed in the picture is the one that attaches the bottom of the center console trim to the center stack. |
Just got mine in the mail, can't wait to put it in. Red button on a red car. It should have come from the dealer like that.

Zpirate.
The knee pad screws on the side are the ones that are giving me trouble. Really on tight. Thanks for the clarification on the other one. |
|
Awesome write up! Thanks for taking the time to do it. Also found this to be helpful in locating the 2 screws holding the knee pad in place http://www.activetechdesigns.com/downloads/z.pdf thanks again!

+1 Rep to Triple! Ordered mine the other day, arrived yesterday, installed it last night. And I agree to most of you guys, it only took me 10 mins!

Thanks for the write up.. I did mine earlier this evening, took me about 30 minutes being very careful. I was a little nervous, I only have 140 miles on the car... |

Thank you, the best part of this DIY is posting the link to buy one of these, I personally appreciate that.
|
Does it light up like the white button? I kind of like how it does that... like is it as easy to find in the dark?
|

:D +1 for more illumination description. I do like how the stock button completely lights up (the whole button is made of translucent plastic or something) |

I didn't notice until after I looked at the picture. :o |

"Me Too!" post.
For $40, why not a red button? You can also see my simota1 fuel gauge overlay in this pic. Rep points awarded. http://www.the370z.com/members/lunaz...-capacitor.jpg |
Quick question
Once I installed this GTR button my windows dont roll up anymore and my air bag lights are on at all times...has anyone else experienced this? |
|
Almost too easy. Just over 5 minutes and I'm done. Thanks for the pics/writeup.

Installed the Red button when adding the iSimple iPod Gateway to the Bose Stereo, took no time at all. Looks amazing, and really helps to accent the red interior or the 40th Anniversary!!

I'm sorry guys for the noob question that follows, this is my first car and first time even attempting to do any sort of mod by myself so I ask: Do you have to disconnect the battery before doing so?

i have heard you can install the starter buttons on a 07-08 350z but it takes a 170 buck wiring harness to do it. Not really sure on this, just what my buddy told me when he asked if he could have my old button..... |

I did this install last Saturday. Thanks for the awesome DIY, Triple's!!!
