Pop up engine hood removal

Hey everyone.
I am wanting to remove the pedestrian impact hood poppers from my car (UK Spec car). I did some research and found that if I remove the hood poppers and a 2 ohm resistor, the ECU still thinks the poppers are in place. This worked perfectly for around 4 weeks and the hood popper light came on the dash. I refitted the poppers and tried to reset the light but it won’t reset for some reason.

My question is, if I remove the pedestrian impact hood pop up ECU, would that turn the light off, and if so, where is it located please?

Hey can you send some pics on how did you manage to get rid of this system?
I have the same problem with the light and have been thinking of losing the poppers so it will be useful info for me..
