Default DYI Headlight lens replacement

Hello folks,
been a long while since I have been here. My wife has a 2009 370z. and of course the headlights are yellowed. The replacement lights are the price of a new car. I was surprised to find that they have the replacement lenses available. The price is reasonable, my question is how hard is it to replace the lenses? special tools ? etc. I researched the DYI section and YouTube.

You are better off buying a used headlight here, or eBay. I recently sold one for $450, just keep an eye on them

Buff those headlights out and re coat them. I used 400 then 800 then 2000 then 3000 grit wet sandpaper, after that I polished them with plastic polish and a hand drill and sealed them with Maguires headlight sealer. Turned out killer.

Thanks for the opinions, replies, thoughts.
Now does anyone know if there is any instructions on replacing the lenses? is there a special sealant / glue? is there a gasket etc...
No need to reply with how to sand, where to buy replacement / used headlights etc.

Thanks in advance !!!

Way too expensive not to mention the work it would take to transfer everything, just buy a used one in good condition.

These are headlight housing and lens. I have not seen any lenses for sale without the housing.

Did you ever find a solution to this?

There wasn't a solution then but one has come available since Morimoto made their XB headlights for the Z. So the lenses are now available separately. There is a good bit of labor involved tho.
