They redesigned the gaskets for 2012 models. But there is a still a problem with the hardware used from the factory. My understanding is the design is such that it's difficult to torque them down properly. And this makes it hard to get them to torque down evenly across the gasket. So even in later model years with the improved gasket, the hardware is still prone to backing out or just being unevenly torqued which can lead to oil seeping even if the gasket is still intact. The EPS galley gasket kit includes new hardware to replace the OEM hardware.
