Mine has up issues. If you dont hold the button the whole time and feather it like to make sure youre making contact and all that, the system will lock out. You either 100% commit to the lift or it jams.

Is it jumpy at all on the way up? |

What could be causing this problem on the down function? I'm thinking a failed solenoid valve but that's just a guess. Are there fuses to check? Thanks in advance. |

One thing that I have learned is to hold the down button for about ten seconds AFTER the car has been lowered. This allows the pressure in the hoses to fully bleed off and it makes the hoses easier to remove and install. The quick couplers will hold pressure in the lines if you don't bleed them off and they can be a bear to install. |

Been looking into this, my Z is lowered on swift springs and I have the evo r sides. What is the height of these ramps when flat? I want to measure the side gear ancestry to see if I'd be able to slide it in sideways under my car.

It depends on what model you are looking at getting. Take a look at their measuring guide. It helped me. Also, feel free to call them. They were helpful over the phone too. https://www.quickjack.com/quickjack-...ing-guide.html I purchased the 7000-SLX and it works great for me. I also got the pinch weld blocks. I am at stock height. They say you need a little clearance so that it can gain momentum to lift. I have an inch or two of clearance and mine lifts perfect. This is right off of that page. "Keep in mind that there must be some space between QuickJack and your vehicle’s lifting points. If a collapsed QuickJack is pressed flush against your car, it will be unable to generate enough force to lift the vehicle." Hope this helps.. |
Thanks for the advice! Costco in Canada has the Quickjack BL-5000SLX for a good price, so I'll look into those specs and clearance requirements.

My 5000SLX came today. Didn't take too long to set up. Seems like it's going to be pretty nice.

For those that ordered their Quickjack via Costco who did the shipping...….FedEx, UPS.....or...…...etc..? And I assume a signature is required??
I'm ready to order one but I work the usual weekday hours and there's no "neighbor's house" or other option when I'm not there......if its FedEx I can track it online and have it shipped to a drop off place.....but if not then...….Hmmm UPS's warehouse for my area is a pain in the a$$ to get to from my location.....so...…….anyway....just wondering...... |
I've had most stuff from costco come via fedex home/ground. No sig required. Of course they may use ups too.
Have it shipped to a work address? |
|
Man, this would be absolutely perfect for my situation and current project...
|
Costco has the 5000 for $999 now with the sale.
How often does this sale come around? I'm about to move next month and would rather buy AFTER the move. |
Every few months.
900 for the 5000 is an amazing price. $465 off is HUGE. |
$999.99... I have 6 days to make a decision on this!
|
Do it

I'm the OP of this thread and would like to give you guys an update on my QuickJack system.
It is still working great and I have it loaned out to a buddy so he can work on his vette. Now he is hooked on getting one. Still loving my QJ! |
TBatt, when you lift the Z do you also use Jack Stands as backup? Im gonna need to do work underneath and I guess im a wuss when it comes to safety..:eekdance:

It would be rather difficult to use both IMO. |

Another great advantage is getting the car higher up when working in the engine bay. While I was installing the super charger kit, I kept it up on the first level so that my back wasn't getting bent over. It helped a bunch and allowed me to work on the top and bottom of the car. My 1977 Fiat Spider is a pain (literally) to work on because it sits so low to the ground. Lifting it up makes it far easier to work on. I feel perfectly safe with the car lifted and the engine running. |
Sorry for asking a question that has probably already been answered, but does the quick jack lock into place once lifted? I assume it's not relying on the hydraulic pressure to hold it up during operation.
|
It has a locking bar on each lift and two "heights" where the bar locks out.

When its in the high position, its fine. But it still kinda makes me iffy, hence the jackstand backup. I had a friend in HS who was crushed working on his van a few weeks after graduating. :eekdance: |
