Found out the name Quick Jack is misleading though :( |
I've had mine for about a year & love 'um … just gotta find a better way to store them in the garage! ~Thinking of welding up some sort rack on caster wheels.
Anybody found a nifty storage solution? |

Got mine up and running tonight. Took multiple bleed attempts but now it's smooth!

Protip: check the pressure on the air cylinders every 3 or 4 lift cycles.

Used the QJ yesterday to rotate tires on wife's car, it went great! Love this thing. |

Walked out of the grocery store and found this fella and his passenger-side partner chilling on my pinch welds lol. Always check that all your blocks are off the car!!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c2aef6c7c9.jpg

I've lost several hockey pucks that way. $1 apiece used so not a big deal. Those pinch blocks aren't quite as cheap though...

I've seen some folks use a chain against the wall to stand them up and store them vertically. I need to find a better solution than just keeping them in between my cars.

Ox, that's nice but why not have then standing vertical? That would save you some space.
Very nice rack you got there. |

Ultimately though, I have an "attached" & "detached" garage - I wanted to have some way to easily move them between the two without tearing up the mini-wheels on the jacks themselves. Having caster wheels on my "rack" did the trick. |
Has anybody lifted their car and disconnected the pump ( to get it out of the way ) for a week or so ? Any problems because of that ?
Thanks |

I have found a good storage solution for the pump, rubber blocks and hoses. It's the Stanley STST33031 tool storage cart. It has wheels and a collapsible handle to easily move it around.
It is available through Amazon https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'm the OP of this thread and have been using the cardboard box that the pump was shipped in for storage for all of these years. Well, it finally started to come apart and I wanted a good solution for storage. This Stanley case works perfect. It holds everything except the stands themselves. Even room to store extra transmission fluid. As far as disconnecting the pump after the car is up it is not a problem as the mechanical stop is what prevents the lift from going down. |
