Default Ultimate paste little white balls forming?

So I bought a brand new container of meguiars ultimate paste wax and I noitced after a little bit of use there are tiny hard white balls formed all over? Is this normal?? I'm just worried it will cause whirl marks all over when I rub the wax in.

Waiting for DE.50 to chime in. From what I hear he is quite versed in little white balls.

I got a TON of them cleaning the applicator pad...they are very hard and don't melt when rubbed between the fingers...I probably just F'ed my paint waxing it with them ....why are they in my brand new wax I just bought?! I swear I get the worst luck.

yea I've never seen a wax do that. I usually stick to a liquid wax but maybe that's normal for paste. maybe junkman will chime in or a pm to him might alleviate your nerves.

I used several cans of Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax and never saw anything like that. I don't think that's right, but I'm not sure you actually damaged your car. Hopefully an expert like Junkman can chime in...

By your description alone, I wouldn't go and rub that stuff on your paint. Either throw it out or you can return it to the store you bought it from.

I'd like to find out how the wax became that way.

2x on returning that wax. that's definitely not good. On a side note, your hands are beading up nicely.

Unfortunately I waxed the entire car with the ****...it came off like it should, hardened till it became crusty....im hoping I didnt create a load more swirls on my car. Anyways, would it be best just to contact miguiars for a refund?

Good ol' crappy consumer grade products. And Meguiar's wonders why I call that stuff crappy.

While the wax may not perform as expected, I doubt you have done any damage to the paint. If it doesn't buff out, clean it off and put some good stuff on there.

I'd see if the place where you bought it will refund your money. If not, try Meguiars. If you talk to Meguiars, ask them what would cause the wax to do that (I'm guessing high heat when in storage/transport).

People dont understand that those products sit on the shelf for nearly 6+ months.

What do you expect?! Chemicals and powders have a shelf life guys!

I use Stay Fresh Car Care products. They are more of a boutique detailing line and prices are very competitive.

All hand batched products with superior results!

Meguiars paste wax was the first thing I bought for the Z, but it melted sitting in the garage while I was washing the car! Do yourself a favor and spend the extra 10-15 bucks on a nice wax it makes things much easier

Little white balls, sounds like pedowax to me.

Hows the paint anyway did it swirl you up or are you ok? Next time when in doubt just dont do it!

I bought the meguiars ultimate liquid wax. Was easy on and easy off. But, the water beeding seemed to last all of a few days. The finish slickness wore off after about 24 hours as well. While this product does have great reviews and I enjoyed using it because it doesn't leave white residue on trim, I think I might have gotten either a bad or expired bottle.
