Default Fastwax? Is this stuff viable?

So I was minding my own business, bending over and opening my wallet for the gas station until a salesman ambushed me with his product. Initially, I really didn't want him to be peddling around me, but I tend to give people a chance. So the guy comes up, asks me if he can spray my windshield and I allow it. I eventually get suckered into buying 2 cans for $25. Found out it was carnauba wax, which I asked right before buying.

Question is, is this stuff viable? According to the guy, he says autoshows use this product, which I don't think is necessarily true..

holy crap... back to my high school days. I sold this stuff to make some money when I was a kid.
This is like the wash with no water stuff. Supposedly some NASCAR teams use this stuff.
It removes oxidation from headlights... but other than that I wouldn't let it touch my paint.
BTW they buy this stuff wholesale (of course) at less than $1 a can.
