Default Exhaust Residue on Rear Bumber?

Ok, so last night i waxed my car and i noticed after that just above the tail pipes it is starting to stain black from tar or resin from the exhaust fumes. I tried claying it, but wont come off. Microfiber cloths dont seem to get to it either since they are too soft. I can rub my finger on it hard and it starts to come off. Does anyone know what I can use to get this off??

Thanks.

carbon deposits? if so, use clay and a tad more pressure. i highly recommend you wax your rear bumper regularly (use spray type wax for convenience) as the steam from the exhaust while the engine warms up makes carbon stick even more.

Yea, Clay didnt work. Im starting to think the Pinnacle Clay is too soft for certain applications...

This thread can be closed now. I used Meguir's cleaner wax and it took it right off...
