Another good trick at removing them is fishing line... just feed it behind the plate and gently pull... some heat will help a bit too.

Well, in the old days, they used to rivet the dealer tags on the trunk!

That gouge looks too big for Dr. Color Chip.

What about covering it with a NISMO tag? A carbon fiber one wouldn't look too bad.
