Make sure you clean it really well before hand. I had a couple of bigger spots that had actually gotten through to the metal, so I cleaned them up with a duplicolor paint pen (have one for my other vehicle and they have a really useful abrasive tip) then I put on POR15 with a toothpick to prime and seal the metal, and then did Dr Colorchip over that once it cured.
