this is a previously installed kit, I assume it'll be easier to fit.

Amuse370z, why don't you ask how much it'll cost to do the job if the wrap is removed(you could do it yourself)

fitment might be easy but you gotta remember once the vinyl is stripped off then the parts still need to be fully prepped for paint again. They will not be able to just peel it off and paint it as is, that would look like sh!t!

In the end you are better off to get it done right and pay a little more for quality work. If you want cheap I know a guy who does body work and paint out of a shop out back of his house, however I wouldn't take my Z to him DD sure Z/hobby car no

Just for comparison have you inquired to see how much it is to get your car repainted(from a good shop)? I bet it is a lot more then you would expect but hey you can always go to Maaco
there are companies that charge an arm and a leg for electrical work. you can't compare good work with cheap work. But, you should always shop around so you don't get ripped off.

There was a company that wanted $9k for a few things done around my house. that included panel change/upgrade, 6 pot light upgrade, two lights for backyard and a sensor for staircase. I ended up getting a licensed individual(not a company) who did the work for Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay less.

true and I didn't say anything about full prep. It's a lot more involved than it looks.

I fully understand that as it is my line of work, but you should let you know the price you got was so high because you get a guarantee with the company and they pull all the permits and paper work associated with your upgrade, you can also sleep well knowing there were no short cuts and there is a company name attached to it. what the licensed guy did was illegal and they could have lost their license if he was caught or if anything went wrong I am one to talk because I also take on side work but I pick and choose who I do it for where as some of my co-workers just advertise online and take on anyone and everyone at least know the person or know the person that recommended you to that person. IMO that's playing with fire when you advertise online how do they now they didn't just take a job from an ESA inspector? then show up with your tools and boom your already done here come the fines etc….

guaranteed quality work comes with a price……..

just to

to tell you the truth $9k sounds about right for what you had done if it was a company. sure side job I could probably do it for 40% of that price but again there is no guarantee with a side job guy and you are then required to pass the work off as your own for the inspector and hydro company before they will turn your power back on

Ontopic: I will be surprised if the price is much better then $2600, anything <$2000 and I would be skeptical……. could turn into more when you go in to pick it up! "well we had to do more of this _______" don't forget elite concepts currently has the kit at their shop and they know what will be required to get this back to "like new" he has been able to go over the kit and knows what is needed. Not to mention you are also getting coil overs and exhaust instal which I know doesn't cost that much but it does add to the total

OIC, but the prep is what will be the majority of the cost, that and the painting. There will be a lot of sanding needed to get it looking good!

for a PW car I'd just repaint everything. if its even a tiny bit off it will be very obvious. if you're going to spend, might as well make everything perfect else it will drive you insane.
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten
btw anyone down for a headlight modding day when it warms up. i need to black mine out

True, I suppose I'll buy a heat gun to take the wrap off first, because it doesn't peel off easily at all.

If its over $2K for everything, I'm going to seriously consider wrapping it as much as I like my PW.

Quality is always my main priority, but I'm not getting ripped off. I think $2600 is crazy, but I will have to ask around to see if I am right about that. I don't know if it makes a difference that your car is black, but I'm sure it is nowhere close to that figure to get your car painted.

Oh and I am so down to do the headlights, I'm just too scared to tear apart the thing.

EDIT: I'm going to get getting rid of my spare EVO-R red foglight and maybe the OEM one in the summer. I paid $130+ for the EVO-Rs from Jay himself on Ebay a year ago. Give me a reasonable offer

O no man! stay PW!

PW + amuse is sexy! that is the one setup I would go with over my 40th with amuse

stay Pearl White
i told you many times i often wish my car was white.
white is the best colour for the amuse kit because objectively it shows off the curves the best. Its also the easiest to compliment with either black or real CF.
black is just good for that mean look at night. in the day its pug fugly
the only downside to PW is fallout, but its manageable if you dont live downtown.
couple things:
WRAP
a heat gun wont help you take off wrap. there are easier ways to do it. a heat gun might make it even harder if you don't know what you're doing. im currently wrapping a friends car (and unwrapping another one), so i can help you (and it wont cost $2600 lmao)
FOG LIGHT
i already bought the rear fog light. i installed it but im not sure why its not working. i just said fuckit and stored the car. i havent gotten around to checking the wiring. will do so asap.
HEADLIGHTS
2 G35/37 guys are doing thier headlights this summer as soon as we can have a BBQ. They bought osrams and TSX clear lenses (which im kicking myself for not going in with that group buy)... I'll be blacking out my headlights at the same time (either that or making it bronze and smoking the lenses... I've yet to decide)

does anyone know a good way to mount my front plate?
i got another ******* ticket moving the car down the street... ITS LIKE THERE ARE COPS WAITING OUTSIDE MY HOUSE 24/7 FFFFFUUUUUU

white would be my choice too!

as for the front plate you could do something like simota1 did with his, he made a longer bar for the stillen bracket I know the stillen bracket needs to be modified for amuse fronts

Don't get me wrong, I love pearl white, I will never forget the moment when I first saw my car shining in the sun at the dealer all washed up waiting for me. But I wouldn't mind a more extreme colour.

Black looks very nice when it is clean and shiny, my old car was black and my brother's current Genesis is also black.

The main problem is moving the parts, you don't even know how much trouble it was for me to get the bumpers back to my place.

My foglight offer is to any one out there, brand new red EVO-R foglight. I'm looking add a little cash to trade for Evo-R CF B-pillars as well

My understanding is the pearl white and 40th quartz are twice the price because of its high quality.
