V12's yes probably fine, but falkens just stay far far away! Save your money and buy a half decent tire! IMO

you would probably get better life out of a set of winter tires on the Z through the summer then running falkens!

Just did some price check on tirerack and size comparing websites. to keep the size close to stock, you need 275/40/18. Per tire that size, you can save only $10-$20(for PSS that's $60 per tire). just saying, I wouldn't do it just to save that much

i didnt get 18s for the tire savings. im going to be slaying tires all day anyway

i mainly went with it for the weight savings. i went with an 11 inch rear width. even at that width they're 17.5 lbs each. i went nuts after holding one in my hand, i couldn't believe it.

does this mean you will be tracking the car since you are looking at saving weight?

when I get wheels I am thinking of going with 20's. but I do not plan on anything competitive for the car track day wise, would just be for fun and to legally speed/drive really fast!

Yes. I'm just arguing the price point. weight reduction/performance gain side of it is something I would like to know about though. I hear 18" you lose some traction but not noticeable.

kinda yes. its a bit more involved than that but yes.
with any kind of racing making the car lighter helps it in almost all respects
better braking
faster acceleration
better handling
most of the fun of driving occurs between 60 and 200 anyways.

im either going to go with a really high attack angle wing or 2pc rotors next.

OT: Are any of your dealerships mod-friendly? I probably shouldn't bring a modded Z back to the dealer for any type of work/service right?

depends on what you are going in for..................

going in for a warrenty claim probably not the best idea, they would say something along the lines of "you know that shift knob you installed may have affected your steering lock I am affraid we are no longr able to cover it under warrenty"

if your just going in for oil change or service work then sure NP they would love to drool over your car and happily take your money! but as soon as you try to get something out of them you will likely hit a few bumps along the way
