lmao i took the Z out today and went sideways for like an hour before someone called the cops. i ducked out the back entrance cuz a friend who was playing lookout told me two cops just rushed the parking lot.
zero tire wear drifting ftw. i didnt get any pics cuz it was last minute and my friends phone had to be kept free to call me. i ended up washing the car and zip tying my plate to my mesh. its ugly but i wont get tickets lmao. SO EFFING CLEAN |

I think I'll just tie my plates to the mesh like you, where did you get the mesh btw? Also, did you need to get a camber kit? |

That's y our colour looks like dark grey, purple, graphite and even red in some lighting.... From the research i did, 40th was twice the price, equal to PW |

i literally just zip tied it down. it looks .... ghetto lol. Im considering either making a bracket for it outta junk from home depot or something. Whatever i end up doing i'll post here. I thought to find my old Stillen tow hook thing but i have a feeling i gave it to Miki.... fffffuuuuu i did get a camber kit but as the amuse sideskirts are so low dropping the car is kinda stupid if you have 18s. If i go lower then i might need them but at my current height its not needed. Theres a pic in the amuse thread that shows you only have like 4 inches of clearance on OEM height. im dropped 1.5 so that's only 2.5 lmao my sideskirts are doomed when my V3s go on :P |

show and go is illegal no?
as on more illegal than not having a plate where would you mount it anyway even folded flat it would be too big to hide on the amuse front |

Lowered with Amuse side skirts + speed bumps = a bad time. |
Most aftermarket skirts are 2 or 3" lower than stock. I have barely 2" clearance with my skirts. As long as they are mounted 100% proper you're alright. They will rub and get scratched but they won't break off your Z:roflpuke2:

no i mean anything where you can hide your plate is illegal is it not?
i thought it was a huge fine (larger than if you simply didnt have a plate) can anyone clarify? |

Getting pulled over for no front plate is hit or miss. I bought my 370 from Quebec so no front plate mount. I got a ticket for no front plate within 2 weeks of being back in Ontario. I went to court and won but still it was a hassle.
|
Anyway, Nismo accents on a white amuse, yay or nay?

Do any of you guys know the best place to buy HIDs and an Oil Catch Can?

lol i can tell you from personal experience that its 100% illegal to have no plate in toronto. I've been pulled over 12 times for no plate. a couple of those times i literally had the ticket from the previous time so the cop just let it slide. of the times i did get a ticket, coincidentally its been all women cops that don't let it slide. the dudes kinda nod their head understandingly and just say "kk just get it done asap"
Thats not what im asking though, what i asked was hide-away plates that can move from visible to not. Im almost certain those are even more illegal because you can choose when and sometimes which plate is seen |

I actually saw this on youtube someone set it up to have two show'n'go plates so they could switch, that is even worse then no plate IMO :ugh2: |

Take the fine and don't say anything:inoutroflpuke: |
:iagree:

The whole point of having the show-n-go is to have the plate visible when driving, then hidden when at a show. The likelihood of an officer noticing the plate is on an actuated arm is slim to none unless you give him/her a reason to inspect it.

I am the kinda dink that would use it to not have it up at all, unless in a "downtown kinda area" cause otherwise I don't think they would bother me out here, like I said lots of cars in my area no front plates :ugh2: my friend with audi has show-n-go and I asked him if he drives with it down he said almost never and then said pretty much exactly what you posted  this was years ago when they were still "new" |
I more or less made a custom mount for my front plate so I'm ready for when I get that first no plate ticket. Flashy car = unwanted attention from the fuzz.

its dumb cuz i don't consider my car flashy and yet i get rediculous police attention. its never when im cruising around or even spirited driving, its always when im out late nights going to get a coffee going at or even very sightly under the speed limit with my revs just about stalling (so as quiet as possible). I dont get it. i hang out with friends in catless slammed, cambered neon wrapped cars with boost that enjoy drag racing on the 407 and out in sauga that 90% of the time love weaving around traffic... and yet they never get tickets... wtf?
i've been pulled over and the cop walked around my car looking at everything, i rolled down my window and asked why i was pulled over and the cop looked at me and walked back to his car and left without saying anything. i made a note of his badge info and licence plate/car number. the last time i got a no plate ticket (last week) i watched her pull up beside me and stare me down, then inch forward to check my plate. there was NO ONE around me so it wasnt like she had a reason. 10000000% looking for an excuse to pull me over. just my shitty luck that i hadn't yet zip tied my plate on so she got lucky whatever, its over now. i now have nothing anyone can hassle me for. |

Ey Ire,
If you've been pulled over that many times, your license plate # is on file. Any cop that runs your plates if they r behind u will 99.9% pull u over. This same thing has happened with my brother with his car. |
Quote:
^^ This. Plus they think you're Yakuza. :D Get new plates. |
I have a feeling I'd get pulled over for my 15% tints as a reason.
If it ever happens, should I just roll my windows down immediately or is that too suspicious. Also, is there such thing as accelerating too fast to the speed limit? 95% of the time I accelerate quick after a light and I never day dream, meaning I go as soon as its green. I feel like its safer when I have the road all to myself. No one would be able to catch up to me unless they are speeding to do it. (What if a cop was behind me in this case)? |
Quote:
Accelerating like that always is asking for trouble. Plus it's no fun doing it all the time if you ask me :p |
Quote:
As for the heavy tint..... Its not like show n' go.....u can't hide that:roflpuke2: |
