For the battery all you need to do is disconnect it. It will be fine if your only storing it for the winter.
The same can be said for flat spots with today's tires you don't have to worry about flat spots when the car is sitting for 5-6 months. If it wa long term then I would understand the concern but 5-6 months is not really that long. I have stored my Z every year so far (this being #3 as well) and can say I've had no issues with it come the spring. I can say the same about my old z (z32) I never had a problem and stored that car 3 times while I owned it before getting my 370.
