I've come to the conclusion of actually using a higher temp silicone to reattach the elbow to the cover, then using a delete kit. Ends up cleaning the engine bay up a little bit overall as well! Still going to keep an eye out for another cover though just in case the silicone decides to out itself.

Here's the delete kit I decided to go with; https://conceptzperformance.com/czp-...hr_p_73524.php

HOPEFULLY I WON'T BREAK ANYTHING WHILE INSTALLING IT.
WISH ME LUCK.
Im having the same problem as you and I was just wondering if it worked? just to clarify did you use silicone and not epoxy? if so, which silicone because I got the hi temp jb weld silicone but now im reading and people are saying silicone doesnt stick things together?

I honestly couldn't remember the exact stuff, but it was a 2 part hi-temp plastic epoxy. It's held so far so good, even for having that elbow capped off due to the delete kit.
