epan, are you the original owner of your vehicle? If you are and you did not request that this coating be applied, there are only two possibilities. First, Nissan applied the coating at the factory. Second, the Nissan dealer either applied the coating or paid someone else to apply it.
In your vehicle's case, the coating also covers some of the conduits, which causes me to lean toward the second option. If the GTA winter roads are as salty as they are reputed to be, this coating is probably a very good thing to have on a vehicle and that's why the dealer decided to apply it as a preventative measure.
