Default Which coilovers are best for our cars?

Sup - i'm trying to find out what y'all recommend and use for coilovers suspension. I'm used to BC coilovers since thats what I had on my 7th gen maxima but I know Stance is also big on the 370z.

What would you guys recommend me getting? I'm trying to get ready w parts before I get my car next month (hopefully) Any input on why you think a certain brand is better than another is greatly appreciated.

Thanks guy!

Define "best". Best handling ones that don't cost a mint would be something like the KW V3s. They don't go as low as others, so if all you want to do is lower the car until the suspension geometry is all messed up, go with one of the cheap Taiwanese coilovers like the two you mentioned. If you just want it to handle better for a street car and aren't as concerned with making the car too low, you'd most likely be best served by a good shock/spring combo like Konis and Swifts.

I'm looking to go functional but unfortunately I like to slam my car. I know I won't be doing that w the Z but it needs best handling IMO. Driving in Brooklyn/NY streets are horrible.

If it's not going to be tracked, good coilovers are overkill. Get a set of Koni shocks and Swift springs and call it a day.

I agree with Cossie. Even the high end Coilover kits that fit the Z well do not use a true coilover in the rear.

Swifts+ koni sports, will give you a fantastic ride and the Konis will last forever.

KW v1's are also an excellent choice for what you want. They do offer a true type coil over in the front.

Either of those solutions will be ~1500 bucks and will be the last thing you ever need to buy.

The v1's will offer more range in adjustability and are an excellent product, the konis + swifts are just darn near perfect and will set the ride height just about where it should be(not super slammed though )

Outside of those two offerings, I can't say the quality is there from anyone I have heard in that price range. You will hear nothing but happy people that went KW or swifts+ Konis.

Is the $16.4k for the whole set or do you have to buy two or four?

Hey you wanted the best. A few here and pro teams use jrz. They have $7k-$10k sets if that's better for you.

OP I plan on going fortune auto 510 if it means anything. Check out their site and vids online about setup and such. Kinda made me a believer and will back their stuff up if need be since they're USA.

Dont forget its pretty much not worth it to lower that much without front and rear camber arms and toe bolts. No point in lowering if you cant align it right

So do the KW v1's work well with just a half inch drop. I don't want to really lower the car for appearance, I really just want to increase performance. I'm wondering if camber arms are needed with the modest drop. Still on the fence between these and Koni/Swift combo.
