question about springs

I have a 2013 touring with sport pack and want to lower it about 1 inch. Which springs would work best? I want the car to have the same feel

Default question about springs

I have a 2013 touring with sport pack and want to lower it about 1 inch. Which springs would work best? I want the car to have the same feel it has with the stock sport package. Will I have to change anything else with the suspension or just swap out the springs and go get an alignment? I expect I slightly stiffer ride but I don't want the car bouncing all over the place like some of the other toolbags you see riding around.

There are many threads about this already.

But in any case, I was wondering about the same thing before I bought my set.

Springs:

People have many preferences but many people use SWIFTS

I personally didn't want that much of a drop so I went with EIBACH, TEINS are relatively the same.

EIBACH, TEINS ride like stock just a tad stiffer.

If you are not looking to drop it too much, all you need are rear camber arms, get an alignment and you're set.

I went with Eibachs since they seemed to have the most conservative drop while still being a bit stiffer than stock. I did both front and rear camber arms and toe bolts in back to get the alignment back in spec. I probably could have gotten away with rears only, but tires are expensive and I didn't want to burn through them because of a slightly off alignment.

I was going that route, but shop said I didn't need the fronts.

But I agree with whatever gets the job done correctly.

Tires are expensive...

I could have gotten away without the fronts, but if I was going to pay for an alignment, I was going to do both at the same time. If the OP is having someone else install the springs, the additional labor costs to do all of the camber arms will be less than if he has to go back and do it later.

Check out the forum for your area: Mid-Atlantic Region - Nissan 370Z Forum. The amount of drop you want can be chosen by pictures but ride characteristics are best decided in-car.

I have Swifts and to say they are stiffer than stock isn't telling the whole story not to mention it is subjective. These things soak up road imperfections but don't make me feel like I am in a Lincoln. Then when you jam in to a corner they keep the wheels on the ground. My 40th springs (sport?) were stiff and road imperfections made it jumpy. I like these 100x better. And the drop is perfect for me.
