Question about Eibach Pro Kit Performance Springs

I'm very new to the suspension options for my Z, and I'm looking to upgrade the springs. I have 2012 Touring base model and looking to change to Eibach Pro

Default Question about Eibach Pro Kit Performance Springs

I'm very new to the suspension options for my Z, and I'm looking to upgrade the springs.

I have 2012 Touring base model and looking to change to
Eibach Pro Kit Performance Springs, Do I have to make any changes to the camber, toe, alignment, etc, due to the change in ride height? Or can I just keep the stock setting?

This is my DD, I am planning to do some autocross events this summer, nothing serious just for fun.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you will need an alignment

Alignment required, surely those installing will understand specifications.

Didn't need a camber kit, but did see greater wear to inner contact are on rear's. No biggie still got 20000km/s out of Yoko Advan 18's (i have 09 model, about to do first new set of Tyres, I need to drive more!)

Eibach Springs were best upgrade I did. Firmer at low speed, but not uncomfortable. Interestingly more comfortable cruising on highway at high speed. Obviously had to make some driving adjustments due to ride height on speed bumps and angled driveways in my town, but expected.

Turn in and cornering sharpness greatest improvement, no regrets.

dlm- if you can, i suggest installing koni yellows when you do the prokit.

imo, swifts would be the better way to go (matches stock dampers better) from wat i hear.

i use swifts on my dd (stock dampers) and matched very well.

Can you recommend a vendor for the swifts?


I don't think I'm going to do coilovers at this time, not in the burget, (son going to college soon, wifey would not like).

But I will look into the swifts.

I just installed mine.

I purchased the rear camber kit.

After getting them installed, had the car aligned,

The front got back within factory specs(barely) with the alignment.

My rear, with the camber kit also got back within specs. Not sure if they would have gotten back within spec with the rear camber kit, but the initial numbers before alignment showed much more variance and camber in the back then the front.

Drop is not too aggressive for daily driving, and the ride is very smooth. A real good alignment will make a huge difference.

I would recommend getting the rear camber kit and a good alignment. A good alignment will help, but the rear camber kit will let you get the exact settings you want.

It is easy and cheap to install the rear camber kit while the springs are being installed. Given the cost of how expensive the tires are, I would not bother risking it without a camber kit. If you do not buy the camber kit, what may happen is you get the springs installed, get an alignment, and find out it is out of spec. Then you will have to pay to get the camber kit installed on it's own, and have to pay for another wheel alignment afterwards. So just looking at it from a cost point of view, doesn't make sense.

When I looked at my rear camber before the alignment was done, it was pretty bad, way out of factory specs. I don't think even a good alignment would have brought it back with out the rear camber arms.


These cars are not cheap, and spending a little extra to get the camber and toe correct is the right move.

Anyways, I was in your spot before so thought I would help. Like I said I like the springs. I think the car rides much smoother, and it kills the wheel gap without dropping the car too much. I love the look. I don't have too many issues with scraping etc as long as you just be a little aware of certain bumps, etc. But it is not too bad for everyday driving. Handling feels much better. Having the rear camber kit just gave me more comfort knowing that my car was riding on the correct settings.
