Looking to buy a set coil overs but I want the best ride quality, don't want to feel every bump in the road or the wife to complain every time I want to take my car where ever we go any where. You should mention your budget. No sense in dreaming of Penskes on a Tein budget.

I really like the BC Racing ER Series coilover that I have. These are in the mid range coilover category, with the KWv3. They offer enough rebound adjustment to change from super stiff track to soft like OEM. Rebound is super easy to adjust and they have remote reservoirs which are also plusses. I have not tried anything else on the Z so I can't compare but I have had lots of coilovers in the past on other cars.

NONE...

I have stock suspension. A friend of mine has the KW3s.

You feel EVERY pebble under you and potholes are retarded.

Just my opinion though haha

Ever thought about going with Swift Springs and Koni Yellows? Though they're not coilovers...Swifts by themselves improve the ride over stock exponentially. My car rides smoother now than it ever did on stock springs. If you want a bit stiffer ride...you can pair them with the Koni shocks (which are adjustable by the way) and then dial in your stiffness.

Edit: Going with this combo will cost you around half of what you're budgeting. Then you can throw the extra money into other mods.

You could always go with Tein Superstreet or Monoflex then add the EDFC system then it can be al adjusted to suit the conditions of any surface road or track !

I was quite happy with my BC ERs as well. The ride is waaaaayyyy better on the JRZs but the BCs were similar to stock on full soft.
I should have my old set of BC ERs up for sale shortly... Cheap too!

I would love to try the Koni yellows as well. My 350Z has them but I may go back to stock suspension before I actually hit the track with it.

Koni Sports (Koni yellows as most people refer to them) are pretty low end shocks IMO. While they do the job okay they typically don't offer the amount of adjustment needed. I've used their higher end stuff like the Koni 2812 and while it is made strong it just doesn't compare well to the other high end shocks like Penske and JRZ.

^^I agree but I would also like a comfy ride. I understand you get what you pay for. So if they coil set is worth it then I will pay to play which is why I posted this... I want to hear feed back from people who actually have the coils rather than a sales person who is making a commission off of the sale.
