Default Racing Brake rotor direction question

I have the 2 piece front & rear rotors on my Z. The rotors are slotted & drilled in the slots. I just noticed this the other day while looking at the rotors. The slots on the front rotors are turning in a different direction then the back rotors. Like if looking at car: Fronts ---> & rears <---. Does this have a negative effect and should I correct this?

The direction of the slots is generally irrelevant, but given that your front and rear is from the same manufacturer and opposite then chances are one of the axle sets is backward.

What you need to check is the direction of the cooling vanes in the center of the rotor. The vanes should be pointing backwards towards the rear of the car. You should be able to see this (or feel) without taking a wheel off.

The only negative effect from having it backwards is that the rotors won't cool as well since the air pump effect won't work as well.

rotor.jpg This the correct direction of rotation. Front and back on same side of car should look the same. The slots are cut in reverse direction of vanes.

Looks like I'll have to switch the front rotors, the rears are facing the same direction as the Z06, thanks all
