Project Mu HC+ Brake Pads

Anyone running these pads? They've got awesome initial bite but I haven't tested these all out braking. I thought these are for street/track but man, they dust quite a bit.

Default Project Mu HC+ Brake Pads

Anyone running these pads? They've got awesome initial bite but I haven't tested these all out braking. I thought these are for street/track but man, they dust quite a bit. I've yet to install my Z1 SS brake lines. All I did was change the pads and changed fluids to ATE Type 200.

Project Mu HC+ Specs:
Material: Super graphite metallic
Rotor Temperature: 0~800C
Friction Coefficient: 0.43~0.58u

Maybe I'm just used to the stock pads. Anyone else running these?

Anyone else running these??

I'm not sure yet either to run these or project mu B specs. I want a dual purpose setup, street/track.

Any inputs?

I remember there was a thread a while back debating the best pad for street, track, etc. P.mu pads was one of the choices, but no one ever chimed in on their performance or driveablity on the street. I would love to test a set out, they seem like a brand that doesn't get much use on the 370z's.

i used to run bspec in my 02 dc5r (brembo) rated 0-500, in conjunction with dba 4000 series rotors. had this setup over 550 degrees without any fade. great pads, and way less dust then i thought. never tried the hc+ though, the car spend most of its life in the hills, not on the track .

Pads for Sport Package Daily and Track with OEM rotors

If you mean these ^^^ I like them.

Haven't tracked them, but doing lots of fast stop and go road driving, they maintain excellent bite even when heated up, whereas I've found that ours and other OEM pads will feel like their fading a wee bit if you beat up on them on the street.

These plus SS brake lines definitely reduced stopping distance and improved stopping power significantly.

My only complaint is that braking is a lot more "on" vs "off", but I've noticed that before with ceramic pads.

EDIT: Wait, those HC's (High carbon?) are a more track oriented pad -- different one, sorry.

If this is mainly for a DD, the B-specs are good. Not sure how they'd fare on the track, but they are marketed as serving double duty well.
