I would go with some slotted only, not cross drilled. They look cool, and on race cars they are... lighter... but they will crack in between the holes when they get hot. Not really necessary for the street. Hawk HPS or HP+ pads would be a nice switch by themselves.
Also, if you want to improve the pedal feel, try switching to some stainless steel braided brake lines. The rubber ones will bulge slightly under heavy braking.
