I got under it and i had someone turn the steering wheel while someone holds the tires an it looks like the joint itself has worn out like as if it wasnt lubricated or something. I guess it was a bad joint from the begining. I dont really had a choice on driving it its my only way to work so i loaded the joint with grease and it cleared up the screeching noise but i still have alot of play. Im just going to put put to work I guess. im waiting on gtm to help me out but they said i have to pay for one till they get this one back. wonderfulllllll lol i need a damn car lift boy would that make life easier.
Car lift would help a lot.

U may be missing teeth do to a bad install, was it not on all the way?

The joint on the steering rack area (engine) or the coupling is wore out? I'm thinking the installer did not have it completely on or did not install the studs correctly and cause slipage and erosion.

grease/lube will only stop the noise and when installed grease is not involved. the teeth lock it in and the studs keep from it sliding off or slipping

Glad I could help.
