It probably would for most tracks. There is one in particular that I go to that it definitely wouldn't be good enough. But Alex is also right, I want new toys!

If they don't come in by my next track date, may 28th, I plan on running the akebonos at Barber with hawk DTC60 0r 70 pads.

btw, brembos are off the car and stripped down, ready for refinishing and sale if anyone wants a cheap front upgrade. Requires 19" wheels though, and I don't have any of those anymore.

Haha, that's cool Mike. I'm still looking forward to your review of the Stoptech's. It seems like a huge chunk of change to drop for a BBK, but if I get more serious into tracking (8+ days a year), I might go ahead with it. So far I've been pretty happy with the stock ones, except for some minor issues.

They are uber expensive but Sharif gave me a great deal on them, and I figure if I'm gonna do it, may as well go with the best!

If you can handle the noise and the brake dust, go for it. The carbotechs do work when they are cold, just not recommended. Mine's been on the car since my track day two weeks ago, of course I have only driven it 40 miles since....
