Default Detailed springs review

Hey guys! Just wanted to sum up my experiences with different springs installs I've had on my Z. It all started when I first got my wheels. I had originally planned on buying coilovers, but since I had coils on my previous 2 cars (3000gt vr4 and scion tc) and only adjusted them once, I couldn't justify going that route again. I wanted a modest drop but good spring rates and a stiffer ride than oem.

Round 1: Eibach pro-kit

I originally purchased eibach springs. They were installed by Amplified Motorsports. I loved the way these springs rode. The car felt extremely planted in corners and I could tell there was a lot less body roll. I was happy overall except the only thing I didnt really like about them was the wheel gap in the front. The rear was a perfect drop for me but I still had about 2 1/2 fingers gap in the front, which wasn't as low as I wanted. After doing a lot of research I decided to purchase the h&r springs.

Round 2: H&R springs

After about 2 months and 2500 miles I purchased the h&r springs and decided I was going to do the install myself since it didn't seem that difficult and I have done springs on older cars before. The install went ok but I had some minimal issues with rear end instability and steering wheel pull when merging lanes on the freeway (damn reflector bumps). I took the car into Amplified Motorsports again to look over my install and they tightened everything up and sent me on my way. The drop was perfect for me, the wheel gap was dramatically less in the front. Well to make a long story short, comparing the eibachs to the h&r, the h&r felt very soft and sloppy. Even after my alignment, I felt the car actually had more body roll and felt less planted. On road level changes or small potholes, everything was more pronounced. I could tell that this was not equivalent to the ride I had with the eibachs. Enter Swift!

Round 3: Swift sport springs + Whiteline sway bars
After about 6 months of driving unhappily and reading awesome reviews on the swift springs, I decided to pull the trigger and I figured I'd buy some sway bars to boot! I left this install to the pros @ Amplified this time around. Let me just say.... I am in love with my car again. Almost like the same way I felt when I drove her off the lot. The ride on these springs is jaw dropping. They literally feel like coilovers I've had in the past. They feel slightly oem when driving over bumps or road level changes, but turn in and cornering you notice a significant increase in overall stability and control throughout the turn. The car feels amazingly planted now and super responsive. I'm sure some of this has to do with the whitelines too (stiff setting front) (medium setting rear). All I can say is I cant wait to get my alignment to reall see the difference in balance and stability. I no longer have steering wheel pull over bumps on the freeway and potholes are almost eaten up and can barely be felt with these springs. I am overall extremely happy with my experience and I also want to send a shout out to the guys @ Amplified Motorsports for being patient with my needs and going above and beyond in meeting my expectations. Truly awesome products from an awesome vendor.

I hope I've helped anyone trying to make decisions on which route to go with springs by being the test mule lol. Thanks for reading and sorry it's such a long winded review!
