It's not going to hurt anything to leave it as long as it's not to bad. You don't want it hitting to hard and grab a hold of that lump

It's not going to hurt anything to leave it as long as it's not to bad. You don't want it hitting to hard and grab a hold of that lump and causing a pull effect on the plastic fender. But no big deal to remove it.
