According to brembo, they don't have a caliper 4 or 2 to fit the rear rotors because its such an odd size rotor at 13.8 inches.

There's a couple issues going on dimensionally.

Calipers (and the pad shapes that they accept) are designed to fit particular disc dimensions...based on overall diameter, annulus (swept area), and thickness. Most OEM applications use a wide annulus design in order to maximize longevity and reduce NHV's (noise, harshness, vibrations).

For the front kit, we got lucky in having an appropriate caliper (with the proper piston diameters) and pad shape (with the proper radius, thickness and annulus) to be able to offer the caliper upgrade as a solution. The rear issue is based on not having a disc/pad combination that matches appropriately.

For the few of you doing this as an aesthetic upgrade, unfortunately you will be stuck with the OEM rear caliper. For those who are seeking a performance solution, the front caliper upgrade makes a great performance improvement on it's own, and can easily be matched with a rear pad/braided lines/brake fluid upgrade. The rear discs do not see the temperature related issues that the fronts are prone to under aggressive use. Dollar for dollar, this solution is the best bang for the buck on the 370Z.

Hi Gary. Welcome to the best 370z forum

Thank you for explaining the advantages of the Brembo caliper replacement. Brembo makes the black replacement caliper to somewhat match the rear Nissan Akebono calipers. You can always powdercoat the rear as i did to match my red Brembo's for the guys that are worried about asthetics. I hope that people are not shying away from these just because brembo don't have the matching rear. I personally agree with your statement that a pad upgrade along with better lines and fluid compliments the front Brembo calipers as thats what we did for my G37.

We haven't tried these on the base 18's and MIKELR had to shave some on the caliper to fit his nismo 18's. I know that the width of the calipers will fit because they are the same as the sport akebono but the height is what i'm not sure about

they do not fit 18" 350z track rays wheels without extensive grinding. probably the same on the stock 18s, as it was the barrel that didn't clear
