christian370z & speedworks, thanks for your responses and advise. Since then I have read the entire FAQ section on Swift's website and the other earlier thread on the forum (up to page 6 so far) and have come to the conclusion that I will stick with the OEM struts since most of their R&D is based around the tuning the spring to work in conjuction with OEM strut. This post with an email from Swift sold me on their product (well along with the info on their website).
From Swifts website under the FAQ section: Swift Springs USA "You won’t have to change out your shocks (unless if you want to) to compensate with our Sport springs. It is truly a plug and play part for your performance vehicle". Here is the post from the other thread. http://www.the370z.com/671948-post88.html Sold! Anyone want to buy two sets of really good performing Eibachs. Will be up for sale once I have the Swifts installed on both Z's. I will be letting them go for a really low price to recoup the cost of Swifts. Christian, the stance looks great! |

Sweet! That will be quite the transformation, do you have plans with your Akebono brakes?

After swift spring installed and got alignment done at the Dealer! And now The car tracks straight but my steering wheel is slightly off-center!! I should take my car back to the dealer or what?? hm... dame It's hella bothering me...
|
Yep, they should have centered the wheel during the alignment.

Update on whether non OEM struts will work with Swift Springs: I spoke to Billy at KamiSpeed and he said swapping out the OEM shocks to another brand (for one example: the Koni yellows) will still work well with the Swift Spec-R springs.

Billy at KamiSpeed was great and very helpful.
I just placed my order this morning with Billy for two sets of Swift Spec-R Springs. I am getting mine from the container that just hit the L.A. Port. Billy is hoping for the product to reach Tampa, FL by mid to end of next week, then shipping mine out back to Cali. |
I'm waiting on mine from that container also. Going to Kamispeed to get them installed. Really looking forward to it.
|
Sounds like mine are on that boat, too.
Can't wait! |
I am hoping my alignment will prevent the front wheels from rubbing the nib on the inner fender well. I am not one to be running allot of negative camber, I want to get the most out of the tires. My current alignment is treating the tires great at 25k miles. Probably the last 10-15k were with the new alignment and on Eibachs. Hoping to get in the same range with Swifts. RCZ hooked me up with a sweet camber setting.
Can't wait for the shipment to arrive! Will be getting new tires also. chesirecat is that you from my350z with the OC issue? |

Saku Ono emailed me back the other day saying my springs will be hitting the states by the end of the week, then have to clear customs, then get back into shipping to come to me here in Italy. Gotta love it! I guess good things come to those who wait, NOT! :(

I will have to wait until April 11 for my installer to return from vacation. But they will be dialed in by my Run coming up on May 21. I just posted my alignment specs on one of the wheel spacer Eibach install threads. I will scan the alignment spec sheets and em to you. I am looking for the same camber setup as before with the Eibachs. Can't wait for: 1) Swift springs to be delivered. 2) May 21 Brunch Run |

Swift tested their springs across the pond and on the American shores, you can be the first to review how they handle Euro roads! Billy said they had about 10 unreserved coming in on the container, now they have 8 left. To those still on the fence, you better get them while they last because the next container could be a long way off especially with the current situation across the pond. |

for those who ordered springs from us, they just arrived in SWIFT in CA so they're currently being processed to be dropshipped/shipped here to be distributed. I'll keep everyone posted :)

Saku, can you confirm if this is how it works? I had some Stoptech rotors ordered for the 350Z from a vendor in FL and I was hoping to save the sales tax being it was purchased there. Just to find out I was charged CA sales tax because they were being drop shipped from City of Industry, CA where Stoptech is located. Sucked having to pay 7.75% sales tax. |

Basically, we can sometimes avoid CA tax to CA customers, so its always good to ask :tiphat: |

Yes I will be sure to post something when I get them on and open the car up on the auto-strata. Going to hit some good roads going up to Germany too when it comes time to track the car up there. Glad to see the shippment of springs has hit the states....almost there:happydance: |

Search of German Race Tracks: EuroSpeedway Lausitz * Hockenheimring * Hockenheimring Short Track * Nurburgring * Oschersleben * Porsche Leipzig * Sachsenring * STC Spreewaldring Training Center Would love to see some photos of the 370Z with the Euro landscape. |
