Ok here goes my take on the Swift springs. Amazing! Right away I noticed how different the car felt going over bad roads (plenty of those in Chicago btw). Any sloppiness in the suspension before is now gone. Firmer and more responsive yet smoother and a more planted feel all in one. I intentionally went down one stretch of horrible road where the car used to feel like it was "porpoise-ing" before and now it felt planted, secure, and smooth! Remarkable that you can get a firmer ride along with smoothness out of the same spring, but Swift has done it!

Can't wait to get my springs next Tuesday and throw them on next weekend. I just sold my motorcycle today :( so I need some sort of emotional boost. It's going to look good with the 15 x 20mm H&R spacers!
Pics and review to come people |
fyi guys, you will need camber for rear...i haven't purchased the camber kit yet, but i plan to. The front was only very slightly off.

My bad guys, it just dawned on me that I may need the camber kit 'cause I'm running different wheels than stock. Sorry I don't remember the camber numbers I got, I just know they were off. Guess ill just have to add the camber kit cost to the price of getting new wheels!
|
Yea i've heard to hold off on the camber kit as most people are able to get within spec. Plus with spacers things tend to change.

Have any of you guys had a issue with ride height.
My car is .25 higher on the right front. and .25 higher on the right rear. When I installed these I had no problems at all and I drove it and double checked everything and still find this puzzling. |
Mine are due to arrive on the 11th according to the tracking e-mail I got from KamiSpeed. My 15mm H&R spacers for the front wheels arrived today and I'm in the queue for powdercoated brakes from Mike.
Unfortunately, I wont be able to tackle my spring install for a couple of weeks. I'm off to London for work! |
I can't remember which side it is, but one side of the car is slightly higher than the other and I believe that is the driver's side to compensate for the weight of the driver.

That's why I was curious . 25 isn't much I was just checking to see if any of you have had this issue. |
Mine should be here the 12th, should able to install them on Friday or Saturday.

You cannot go wrong with the Swift Springs. I did both front and Rear Camber when I did mine. I looked at it this way " I am already there may as do it". We also installed my Rotora 6/4 brake kit at the same time.
The drop on the swifts looks great in person. http://www.cdoxp800.net/370z/Pics/4-2-11_Meet_12.jpg |
Ordered mine today. Wife bought them for me for my b-day. Maybe the first vert on Swifts? I will let you guys know how I do. Probably be a few weeks before I have a chance to install them. 20/15 spacers as well.

I'm going to get mine installed on Monday along with new tires and minor brake upgrades.
The tires will be 275/35 & 305/30 on my Volks (+40mm & +8mm). How do I go about increasing contact patch with the bigger tires and minimize ruining the suspension geometry? In other words, what should I tell the Nissan tech when they are doing 4-wheel alignment with aftermarket springs, wheels, and tires? |

However I do not know if they have front cambers yet... Or im buggin' |
I had really negative rear camber after installing the SPC front & rear camber kit, the negative camber made the car handle flawlessly during tricky turns; I haven't done alignment yet but will probably try to keep it more negative than stock. I'll post up pics of what my camber looks like shortly.
Crown, THMotorsports (Nick) sells SPC Front camber ;) |
I just got done with my alignment(swift springs)and it was way out of wack, but I bought SPC front & rear camber arms, they make adjusting the car a hella of allot easier.
You can dial in any spec you want and since I was doing it, I didn't have to tell anyone or hear "well that's not what Nissan says" |
Doh! I didn't order the camber kits since I saw mixed responses whether one was even needed. I'm going to have my dealer do the best they can with the negative adjustments on Monday. By the time the car gets shipped to Baker in June the springs should settle pretty well.
Looking at the current 285 Hankooks (stock suspension), the inside is almost completely worn while the rest looks like it has at least 6-8 more months of tread. O_o |

Hey guys!, so yesterday I installed my front springs and when I placed the car back on the ground to start with the rear I noticed that ride height was the same as before if not higher . Any ideas as of why this could happen?
FYI, I also installed spc front camber arms and spacers. Thanks!! |

Just an FYI for any of you guys concerned with rubbing, I checked the tab that earlier posts mentioned contacting the tire and found some evidence of slight rubbing. This is not anything to do with the Swifts as anyone who is lowered will touch but here are some pictures:

To follow Birdman's picture, my rear camber sans camber arms:

^So where are the pics? Are you saying it rubs and is so what is the solution?
|
I have not received any tracking numbers yet. KamiSpeed??
