Did he say anything about the getting a smoother ride at the expense of less cornering precision or more sway or anything? Obviously there would be some minuses.

No, I haven't spoken at length with him about it. But I'm not sure that I agree that there have to be some performance minuses involved. Wallet minuses maybe.

I have Tein Flex on my Nismo. Thread by Forged Performance below for pictures. Ride quality is better, even on full stiff. No where near the kidney beating bounce that it used to have. Ride height is, of course, drastically improved. Handling - well, I can't say. Car is brand new and I haven't yet put her through the paces. But, I would say that there is no way that the Tokico shocks of the Nismo are as good of quality as the Teins.
