Default SPC Front control arm: Potential Issue(s)

Hey everyone!

I'm really close to pulling the trigger on some KW V3 and along with it some SPC front control arms. I was ready to go until I was told and read about the issues that the 350's are having with them causing ABS/VDC/Slip lights coming on and some reporting their brakes locking up at speed. What seems to be the issue is the ABS sensor bracket is misaligned and/or just to flimsy. Not never owning a 350, I hardly ever ventured onto their boards. I know several of you guys have them on your 370's and I haven't heard any issues. Did you guys do a fix when installing them or is the 370's design different from the 350 not to cause any issues? I know there are no issues with the rear, I'm just looking at the front. Let me know what you think and know about them.

Thanks as always!!

Wes

The wheel speed sensor is drilled into the bottom front of the steering knuckle and held in by a 10mm bolt. Because the wheel hub is bolted to the steering knuckle I don't see how it could possibly get misaligned. It isn't anywhere near the upper control arm which the SPC kit replaces.

I have the SPC kit and didn't detect any ABS changes, although if you add camber you also decrease braking performance.

Hopefully the 370 has a different setup than the 350's do when it comes to the ABS sensor. I read that the supplied bracket from SPL was the reason causing the fault of the ABS sensor and most would just reuse the stock bracket to fix the issue. If, on the 370's you dont have to touch the sensor that is even better. <---Is this my understanding? If so, Im going to drop the girl down and reset the front camber via SPL arms.

Lol Wes...Chris is one of our more knowledgeable members. Hehe he told you the same thing I did. There are a few folks with racecars running the SPL stuff too. Trust me man, you wont have issues. I wouldn't recommend something that will cause any issues on your car.

SPL is not SPC by the way.

Correct, the sensor is untouched. It's about 18 inches away from the part you are replacing!
