I dont care about noise or dust at all. I just want the gnarliest pad possible that will survive a thursday through sunday of shenanigans. As well as the 4hr drive from charlotte to fontana, and 4hrs back.

Im one of the rare ones that does more driving than drinking at zdayz , so I do need a pad that will not fade horribly on long drives like the poker run , and on back to back (to back, to back) dragon runs.

All I want is a pad can get me home that dreaded sunday night, I can put different pads on when I get back.

Thoughts? Is the hawk HPS race any good?

Carbotech XP8's all the way around. That is what I run and have never had any issues at all. Z1 sells them. Some folks run XP10's up front and XP8's on the rear. I daily drive on the XP8's also. No issues. While your at it, change out the brake and clutch fluid to Motul RBF600.

Endless MX72's will get you there and back in one piece, and keep going the rest of the year. Talk with John at Corner3 Motorsports for a set.

Having run Carbotechs XP10/8's before the Endless pads, I no longer recommend Carbotech. Endless blows them out of the water in literally every category.

Link to said miracle workers. Ouch, 500 bucks for a set (Front/Rear).

When you do a cost vs. longevity experiment with the MX72's you will find that they are cheaper than the Carbotechs. A personal friend got at least 50k out of his set, with daily driving in all conditions, Gridlife Road Atlanta, and Znationals at Road Atlanta out of them. As well as many mountain runs.

That would be my car. I'm pulling my MX72s with a fair bit of life left after ~60k miles of tail of the dragon, highway commutes, stop and go in a large city, Grdilife full weekend, Znationals track day, etc. I'm also on the same Z1 two piece front rotors and rear EBC USR rotors with no warping or abnormal wear patterns.

Meanwhile, Halfkiddo has been through what two sets of carbotechs and is now on endless pads over the same period of time with zero track time. He's also been through a few sets of rotors as well.

I ran Hawk HP+ on my 350Z. They sequel like fingernails on a chalk board when cold and turn your wheels black before you get home from the car wash, but they held up well on the Dragon and stayed consistent. (This is with high-temp brake fluid)

I really don't like HP+'s. their initial bite is decent, but they overheat somewhat quickly. Their modulation isn't the best either.

Racing Brake ET500... they've worked excellent on the Nurburgring so I assume they'd do pretty decent at ZDayz

Why...I did the Dragon with red stuff and they performed well. Many folk track with their more aggressive pads and they have a good reputation all around.
