They seem to take the sharp edges off of bumps but on the really rough stuff they'll throw you around on medium settings. For back road stuff, they're just brilliant. I've zero need for sway bars with the higher spring rates.

You are able to order them directly from Japan and the import duty varies by state. I paid a measly $60 import duty on mine and two weeks to my door. Just PM me if you want more details on where to acquire them. You can get them from a certain performance shop here in the states but they'll be a full grand more dear going that route.
I looked at the aragosta before and they did sound nice but pretty pricey and without being tuned for US roads it's a bit risky. I think a lot of the JDM stuff had complaints of being harsh until they started making US offices (tien I think is one of them)

That's why I recommended the E-spec dampers. Honestly, the S-specs are just fine on the road. We have some pretty gnarly roads here and I've not really found worse except in Michigan, LOL. My daily commute has a few rough patches and it's my own little Nurburgring with a bit of everything, from billboard smooth to seriously rough. On the moderately patchy and smooth roads they're brilliant, really good. I'd imagine the Type E's damping would be far better suited for the road. The Type S is listed as being for the track.

I'd really like to compare them to say the Powertrix or similar just for sh*ts and giggles. This is my second set of Aragostas, used them on another car. If you've ridden on say an Ohlins-equipped car, they feel the same. Just something about the way they dampen the rough edges. I tried to get mine on a shock dyno but he didn't have the right fixtures to mount it to the Roehrig. Would have cost me $300 to have him make a set.

Hi guys not hijacking this thread but I have one question about coilovers.
Is it normal to hear some squicking rubber sound or metal clunking sound when you running in a slow speed in an angular way going up the ramp or clearing speed bumps one wheel at a time to avoid scrapping your front chin or skirts. Lol

Mostly on a ramp going up in an angular way, dont know if I said it right. Thanks
