Default Bottomed out hard on speed bump- now notice play in steering?

I bottomed out hard on an unpainted speedbump. Ripped the slash sheild right off, sheared the bolt holes and all. The impact was taken by the rectangle aluminum bar that spans the car near the front jack point.

The impact does not seem to be near any steering components, but I now notice a bit of play in the steering wheel, about an inch or so. Also the wheel is noticably "lighter" to turn now at low speeds. It used to feel very heavy in a sense, with virtually zero play. Now it is easy to turn like a honda accord or something.

I just got an alignment today, and it still is not how it used to be. It really annoys me, so where should I start looking and what should I start replacing?

Thanks

I'd just get under the car and see if anything looks like it got damaged.

Might have damaged a tie-rod.
