Default Best coilovers for 2015 Nismo

SO i just purchased a 2015 Nismo tech and I was looking into getting a set of coilovers. I like the ride now but its a little bouncy/ stiff on the sh***y Chicago roads. I was wondering if any coilovers would help this. Im not looking to slam it or anything, maybe just lower it an inch max. My main goal is a smoother ride, if possible.

My budget is between $1-2.5k

HKS hipermax IV or KW V3s for a smooth street ride.

I have a set of KWv3 on mine, about to take them off and sell them though for a different non-coilover setup. Less thank 3k miles on them, if you are interested shoot me a message, selling for way lower than new, and these practically are.

Why do you want to get rid of them? or why are you going to a non-coilover setup and which one at that?

not saying the stanceīs arenīt good coilovers, but the OP said he is concerned about the ride harshness on stock Nismo suspension, seems to me he is looking for something with less aggressive spring rates than the Stance come with. If the OE Nismo rates are too much for his comfort, heīd think a 13/8 spring rate was going to rattle a filling loose. I know you can go custom with the Swift springs, but why? the advantage of the swift upgrade is for the track/corner balancing, not street comfort.

really the KWs would provide the most comfortable ride since they are progressive spring rate. actually after thinking about it I retract my suggestion for the HKS since they have a slightly higher spring rate than the Nismos, although not as high as the Stance.

For this budget, a set of Pro-Comp2s from Stance would be amazing.

You can also do a set of the off the shelf Super Sports, and drop the rates a little bit with the Swift springs. I have set up plenty of "street cars" with the Swift's and people have been ecstatic about the ride quality change.

Shot you a PM op.

I love my stance pro comp 2 but they are pretty stiff. If you want a softer ride maybe a air ride set up.

You can have each set built to a specific use, so we could have them built on the soft side for his needs.

After doing some research I am leaning more towards KW V1's. The V3 look like they are top of the line but a little more than i am wanting to spend.

Since I dont plan on lowering too much am i required to get a camber kit? Front, rear or both? I've had to get a rear on my previous G37 coupe but I was almost 2 inches lower than stock.

Im going with Bilstein PSS10. World class valving, but no insane spring rates. Plus, I believe that the rears keep the progressive springs.

...and Im near Chicago so I know the roads well

Good choice. I always forget about the V1's. Depending on how much you drop you might not need anything, but you will probably want to pick up a set of spc rear camber arms (or something similar).

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen. Im currently in the debate of going with DPE G's V3's or possibly some type of air ride. Whether it be air cups or complete bags. I will let everyone know what i end up choose and will probably start a build thread if all goes well.

Thank you
