I wanted the Emblem to really Pop from the backing and having a black backing would make it all blend in too much IMO. Body colored backing would have been nice but wasn't an option so went with the silver.

Those are the same ones I ordered. Picking them up in a bit at the post office. I'll probably paint the backing plate body color since I'm not a big fan of CF on the exterior (and they didn't offer body color back plates).
