For install only center console needed to be opened up, door needed to be removed permanatly, then our console bolts on straight in the console. Wiring there will be instructions. Readings mainly form OBDII, power line from any power line from car, one wire for headlight so can be dimmed when headlights are on, and camera port is there as well. for ant external sensors same as installing any aftermarket sensors. So I've been trying to get a "post" group buy price but no dice via email after 4 or 5 emails and replies. I have to wonder if a vendor won't give me a price do they want my business? Carbon, are you willing to post here? I feel you have a great product and am literally trying to throw my money at you but with no prices after the group buy, I'll keep my money. At this point, I'd like the prices of all of your options please. Then I'll decide what I want.

intruction for zeda gauge
1 Attachment(s)
Please check the attached word file on the file it comes with picture
Controller box ports Zada Tech’s controller box acts as the heart of your multigauge. All the sensors, including the OBDII hardware, collect the data from your car and output as various graphical gauges via an HDMI output. There are various ports on the controller box, these include: • Power port • Sensor ports • Joystick and headlight switch ports • HDMI port • OBDII port • USB port Power port (IGN 12V) This is the power point for the controller box. It connects to your car’s ignition or ACC switch. Please note this is independent from the LCD power. Sensor ports If you have any of the Zada Tech sensors they could be connected to the ports shown below. Please refer to the ‘Sensors’ section of the guide on the wiring of the sensors. Joystick ports, headlight switch ports & HDMI port The rotary joystick that comes with the kit connects to the JOYSTICK port. Please refer to the ‘Joystick’ section of the guide on how to connect the joystick. LIGHT SWITCH port connects to your car’s main headlight switch and the LCD backlight. Please refer to the ‘Headlight switch’ section of the guide on how to wire this port to your car and the LCD. HDMI port outputs the graphical gauges to the LCD. Custom Digital Dashboards, Gauges & Automotive Solutions 2 OBDII & USB ports The OBDII is used to retrieve data from your OBDII port. The USB port is used to program the controller box if needed. Custom Digital Dashboards, Gauges & Automotive Solutions 3 Sensors In order to wire the external sensors to the ports correctly please refer to the guide below. EGT sensor Green + White - Gearbox temperature sensor Red + Black - Differential temperature sensor Red + Black - Oil temperature sensor Red + Black - Boost/Map sensor Red + Black - White S Oil/Fuel Pressure sensor Red - Black S Blue + AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) This AFR single port is used to connect and input a wideband controller signal. If you already have an external Air Fuel Ratio wideband sensor controller, such as the one Zada Tech supplies or the lines of AEM or Innovate, you can connect the output from these controllers to this port. The signal that this port accepts is 0-5 volts. AIR FUEL RATIO ports You may have chosen to have Zada Tech’s Air Fuel Ratio wideband controller integrated into your controller box. In this case the ‘AFR’ single port is redundant and instead you will have 6 dedicated ports ‘AIR FUEL RATIO’ to connect the wideband sensor into. The sensor normally comes with a 6 wire connector. Each wire is marked with dots indicating which port, on the controller box, it belongs to. The connector comes pre-wired, however it needs to be extended. Please make a note of which wire is which with the indicated dots while extending them. Custom Digital Dashboards, Gauges & Automotive Solutions 4 Joystick The rotary joystick supplied with the kit comes with 4 marked wires. The wires are marked as BLUE, YELLOW, RED and BLACK. The wiring for the joystick is as follows: 1 BLUE 2 YELLOW 3 RED 4 BLACK If LEFT & RIGHT function does not perform correctly, swap BLUE (1) and YELLOW (2) wires. Headlight switch The kit is equipped with night mode for the LCD. This gets activated, and in turn dims the LCD, when the main headlights are turned on. The ‘LIGHT SWITCH’ port needs a 12 volts feed from your main headlight switch into the ‘IN’ single port. The ‘IN’ single port should connect to the blue wire from the LCD itself. LCD The LCD is powered independently to the controller box. It needs a 12v supply. LCD is powered with your car’s ignition or ACC. The wiring for the power is as follows: Red +12v (IGNITION or ACC) Black - (GROUND) The blue wire from the LCD should connect to the ‘LIGHT SWITCH (OUT)’ single port. The LCD should connect to the controller box via the supplied HDMI cable. Please connect the cable to the HDMI port on the LCD and the controller box. Custom Digital Dashboards, Gauges & Automotive Solutions 5 OBDII This kit is equipped with a CAN bus OBDII reader. Connect the OBDII cable that comes supplied with your kit to the controller box then to your car’s OBDII port. The OBDII port is normally found under the steering column and above the pedals. The location can differ from one car manufacturer to another. Reverse Camera The LCD supplied with the kit also comes with an AV input. This is suitable for a reverse camera. To connect a reverse camera, plug the AV cable from your reverse camera to the yellow round AV input jack. Additionally connect the GREY wire from the LCD to your reverse light. The GREY wire tells the LCD to switch channels to the AV channel when a signal is received from the reverse lights. Going out of the reverse gear will put the LCD into the HDMI channel again and you will see your wonderful gauges. |
i am nearly finshed with wiring it all up to the car unfortunately it started to rain so i had to stop doing what i was doing but, it a strightforward installation.
for me the trickiest part of the installation was drilling a hole for the joy stick and mounting the monitor to the base. i used 5mm drill to drill a hole just big enough hole for the joystick to go in the hole then got the file out, to make it to a perfect fit then i used super glue to stick the joystick to mounting point, just watch out not to put to much glue to the joystick you don`t want to go on the joystick just the corner bit to make it hold to the monitor surrounds. for the monitor i used thinist 3m double sided tape and used some duct tape hold it from the back like the picutre http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC_1108.jpg http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC_1109.jpg |
