For joystick please don't use glue drilling and hole and tightening works fine

I have the Bypass kit from Carkit company installed which bypass the speed and hand brake sensors. Literally just had to hook up the Pos & Neg wires to power the control module, 4 joystick wires, OBD2, and ran the video wire to my center console video in. I hid the control module under my dash under the steering wheel. I already had a switch in between my seat heaters but took it out and replaced it with the joystick. Works perfect.

For those that installed, how difficult was it from 1-10?

bm37Oz 12-22-2015 11:40 PM

I got the force induction kit. my kit is still being fabricated. Can I still use this kit and change the screens with the joy for the OBD2 readings? What are the majority of people using as their ACC source? Will using taping into my aftermarket headunit DVD/navi power for the control box/and LCD be ok?

How is everyone getting their LCD screen to stick in place? I know one person said they used double sided tape/duck tape.

for the LCD dim, are you tapping into the headlight switch? if so which wire? is it hard to locate?

and where is everyone placing the control box?

thanks

I have the FI kit from CS my FI is not installed yet. however I would like to get this kit installed and just run it off the OBD2.

I wanted to ask you, there are two positive red wires and two black negetive wires on the black of the LCD. Did you just connect the two reds power wires together and the two grounds together or each of the 4 hook up independently ? I plan on just connecting all my power 12V constant power to my headunit aftermarket DVD/Navi(I believe it's the yellow wire)

Also, this is kind of a difficult question, what did you use for you headlight "in" to dim the screen, the switch or just the headlight wire? what color is this wire?

the instructions dont mention two positive wires and two negetive wires for he LCD display

2 red and 2 black connect together. Don't need to connect them independently. The headlight in can connect to the lighting switch or the lighting of the interior of the car. As long as it's 12v. The wire is a single blue one from the back of the LCD. I believe all the above is explained in the instructions.

If still any issue please email us

So it would be ok connect the two reds wires into one wire with a butt connector, same with the ground? also, can I connect the LCD power wire(s) and control module power wire all into my radio ACC 12v yellow wire harness which has constant power? I thought the "in" had to be from a headlight switch wire or headlight wire so it would dim when I turned on the headlights, interior lights can be used instead???

CarbonSignal 01-02-2016 08:15 AM

Wires you should be ok. Constant power not sure. For dimmer headlights or interior console both are as its to give a signal when to dim and when not
