370z on TopGear Australia (mon night)

Well, sources tell me, Australian television has been showing advertisement that TopGear Australia is going to test the 370Z in their Monday night show. Anyone here knows anything about it? I would highly appreciate if you can recond the 370Z segment.

Proving that Crocodile Dundee, Kylie Minogue and The Wiggles are not the only good things to come out of Australia, James travels to the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles, to drive the Australian-built Pontiac G8 GXP. And of course for a little nose-rubbing!

“The funny thing is the Americans get the engine and gear box in a crate, send it to Australia, we wrap a car around it and send it back,” said James.

Steve finds the Rolls Royce Phantom of ride-on mowers, the $24,000 Ferris, built with everything you need to mow the lawn including a cup holder. Warren is flabbergasted at the cost of Steve’s mower and sets up a challenge: that he can build a lawnmower faster and more than Steve’s for only $4,000.

Behind the wheel of his newly designed Toyota HiLux “drive-in” mower and geared up with all the essentials - AM radio, air conditioning and the “spinning blades of death” - it’s Warren versus Steve in the paddock as they prepare to duel.

The iconic 1960s Japanese sports car for the masses, the Datsun 240Z, lost its way over the past decades until Nissan got it back on track a few years ago with the Nissan 350Z. Then in 2009, it launched the 370Z. James checks it out to see if this is a step in the right direction.

It is double trouble when Brendan “I’m going to drive it like I stole it” Jones and Amanda Keller (Swift and Shift Couriers, WSFM) are the Stars in a Bog Standard Car.

“It’s funny watching you two, you’re like an old married couple,” - Warren.

“Well, exactly like an old married couple, there’s no sex,” - Amanda.

I watched it last night. They had the yellow one (ZCAR.02) the media has been test driving, so it should be well n truly run-in by now.

It performed really well around the track in the hands of the Stig and was liked by the hosts. The only negative feedback was the engine note, but I don't agree at all. I think it sounds as it should.

They said it ran a 5.5sec 0-100 but it was not shown, so the 18's may have made a difference there. Either that or they didn't launch it properly. Overall, a great wrap on the car.

I want mine even more now...four weeks to go!

I didn't get to see it but i'll download it, 5.5 0-100 is crap... it's funny, the latest motor mag compared it to the 350z and 240z and did 0-100 and 0-400 times. The thing that pissed me off is on every review they did of the 350z they gave it 6.1s 0-100 and in this review they gave it a 5.5?? and the 370z a 5.6???!?!?? how the hell is the 370z slower? more power, geared much better and 15kg lighter with same width tyres...... the times everyone posts in Australian mags etc are just disturbing lol

But then again, the 370z should have been much faster than what it is.....
