Default Manual Transmission 2nd gear problem

Hi all. Name is Mal and have recently purchased 2012 370Z Roadster with manual transmission. Have just clocked up 2000km. I have noticed when changing from 1st to 2nd I sometimes get a slight grind ( not grating the gear though)from the gear box entering 2nd gear. I have also heard a linkage sound/rattle from the front of the car. I,m still checking this out.I have tried upping the revs prior to changing. This has worked sometimes but I'm not sure if it actualy has solved anything yet. No other problems with other gears and it doesn't appear to occur when down shifting.
Any comments or advice please. Thanks in anticipation.
Looking forward to chatting/assisting on the forum.
Cheers
Mall

I purchases mine used with 6k miles on it. I think this is just how these granny are. The tech told me this is normal. Not sure what to believe.

Guys, search the forum, this is normal for these cars and if you read some of the transmission threads you'll see everyone experiences this.
