Default Picked Up My New 370Z Friday "yipee"

Well I have finally got her parked in me driveway !! love this car... its everything a man could ask for.... hehehe

I took some photos and loaded onto my album "proud as punch"

The reversing mirror works great only one thing needed as a visor on top of mirror cause you get a slight reflection in daytime use. other than that it looks good it just hooks over the exisiting mirror.

Had the mud flaps installed as well and I like they way it finishes it off..(maybe not everyones cup of tea)

Anyone know if you can get the clear car bra fitted in Melbourne. can only find the mob in Brisbane on the net..???

whats the running in period 1000 km ???

anyway IZ a happy z owner now and as pleased as punch...

alot of threads on break in but i sorta went from manual, not fully broken till 2000km...........so didnt use full rev range till then....everyone has diff opinions on this tho....

i did upto about 4000 revs for first 1000km
then upto 5000 revs till 2000km
after that anything goes.....although some reckon engine doesnt really loosen up till later.

The meets are compulsory for all new members, especially when they bring a new colour to the Melbourne group.

Congrats mate, I pretty much did what Ben did in terms of run in period, I did the 2000km thing but tried to keep my rpms below 4k at all times. Now I 'tried' to do this...... but at about 1500km a VE GTS pulled up next to me.....

I think just treat it nicely for 2000km don't exceed 4000rpm and you'll be right. These newer engines aren't as rough from production (precision built now) as older engines were back in the day, thats why the run in periods have dropped significantly from 5000km which was the norm up until about 10 years ago... It doesn't hurt to drive calmly for the 2000km thats only a short time in the life of the car...

As Darren said, the meet on the 24th is compulsory. It would be good to get a few other members on these meets and partners/friends are welcome!

LOL who are you the meet police?

But yeah, I think there are about 30 people lurking the forums from Melbourne but no one seems to come to any meets.......

They must be imaginary!!

The 24th maybe a possibilty for a cruise I just have to see what my work commitments are.

Im waiting on a guy in Melbourne to send me a quote on fitting the clear plastic film to my bodywork and dont wanna drive it to much until I get it done...

Anyone had it done?? wondering how clear it is and if it can be seen? any comments would be good....
