Default Nismo 370Z

Hi Guys,
I'm considering upgrading from my modified XR6T to a 370Z and would like to know if anyone has information regarding the release of the Nismo 370Z. Will this vehicle be coming to Australia? If so, how much will it cost? When will it be released?

Regards,
CDM

Hi Mate,

Nah this will never make it to Australia, well... only if you import one from Japan. Just like the 350z Nismo, never came yet I still saw one on the road so it's always possible to import. Keep in mind though the interior is basic so no screen etc in the Nismo...

Thanks for the info. I don't want to private import one so I guess I'll go the normal 370Z. I'm just waiting for somebody locally to fit a twin turbo kit to see the results. Even though I really like the 370Z i don't want to move into a slower car than my Falcon (338rwkw).

There's been a real awakening in USA for a taste of aussie muscle cars of the 70's, 80's .

Led by the fabulous Mad Max Inteceptor , "god damn - what is that car? what's under the hood?" - pure aussie muscle !

For example the original Monaro fast back, and Torana SLR5000 and others. There's a show on Foxtel, can't recall its name at the moment - its a reality tv show of a car auction site in US and the cognescenti in America and the world for that matter are cottoning onto the cars we grew up with and paying big bucks for collectors cars...

The local Ford and Holden have a big tradition of this and I love Aussie Muscle cars but for me the whole package of the 370z is a huge improvement on power, handling, styling, finesse, I just loooove it and can't get enough drive time in. ha ha!

mate the Z might not be quite as fast in a straight line "not by much though" but will smash the Xr6t around the track/corners. also the new engine responds alot better to bolt ons thus far, compared to the out going 350z, regarding the TT kit i will be looking to go FI early 2010 as i'm considering GTM/AAM
also CDM what have you done to your Xr6t mod wise?

I know how you feel CDM, I had a 350rwkw XR6T and when I test drove the Z it felt so slow. But I can honestly tell you that I am really enjoying the 370 and it feels faster now. I think not driving the xr6t for 3 months while I waited for the Z helped. I really love the instant response of the NA engine compared to the turbo.

My 2 cars are a 370Z and mildly modified FPV GT (250 rwkW).

The Z handles like a dream and is fun to drive. It feels nimble whereas the FPV feels like a big slow old girl.

However both cars have their good points and bad points.

I just have the option to choose which one to drive so the less power in the Z doesnt bother me at all.

In the future I will be looking to get rid of the GT for the FPV F6 or F6E and modify it!
