Default Adding a Bluetooth audio reciever to Nismo Bose HU

Has anyone added a Bluetooth audio reciever like:

Amazon.com: HomeSpot NFC-Enabled Bluetooth Audio Receiver for Sound System: Electronics

to the aux channel of a Nismo Bose Head Unit? I am considering this as a means to use my android or IOS based phone as a audio source other than a phone only.

Thoughts?

Have you done this already?

Just curious since I have one on order.

Rockford Fosgate Universal Bluetooth Car Adapter for Wireless Streaming:Amazon:Car Electronics

This is the one I run, mine is plugged into the cigarette lighter under the dash. Sometimes it vibrates out only downside I've had. I have added a rubber band around the unit and it seems to stay better.

The 2010's and up support bluetooth audio streaming. Chuy has to run that as he has an '09, why would you need that in your '14 Nismo?

Edit: Apparently BT streaming only comes with the Navigation head unit since 2010, non Nav doesn't have it for whatever reason. Cancel my last.

Well, I just installed the Bluetooth receiver unit in the Nismo Z and it works great. But you guy's knew that.

This is the only thing visible other than the power cord that plugs in to the front power socket. The unit itself stows neatly under the center console box. You just remove the cup holder to access it. I'll try to get better pictures of this install. $40 well spent.

There's something much cleaner options available if you're interested. Look up the iSimple BluJax model number ISBT32

That is my setup, except I run my cables under the dash to hide everything.

Initial results: Sound quality is excellent. Power cord needs to be hidden. Different power source needs to be installed to power the Bluetooth unit. I'll probably cannibalize a 12v power plug for this. Takes about 10 minutes total to install. To be sure there are other ways to do this, but the beauty is that I can put this on any stereo with a 3.5mm to RCA plug cord. All other cords come with the BT adapter.

Did this today but I ran the wires under the shift boot and center console area and into the cubby under the arm estate where the little box sits. Clean install and works great thanks for the idea

It was a simple solution to a curious decision Nissan made. In a Bluetooth equipped car, no audio, only phone via BT. Thanks for the review.

dont even bother with that crap, the bandwidth is narrow and sounds pretty crappy. u might be okay with it, but i just replace the HU with a nice doubledin.

i run pioneers in all my cars. bt streaming pandora one. sounds

In my experience it doesn't matter whether you have an awesome replacement HU or the stock Bose in the Nismo. All BT has audio that uses pandora or another media client has a less than perfect audio quality about it. Spending hundreds on a new HU is nice but not the only answer. I know, I've tried them. But I appreciate your opinion.

I also have an 09, how did you connect this to the Bose system?
