I have done a few fiberglass installs. Here is one back from 1995 that I did in an Eagle Talon:

Circuit city carried The HottSetup amps back in the 90's those were a beta brand made by Orion. They just had silver matte external versus the black internals were exactly the same.

I was rolling precision power art series back then a1200 a404 a300 linked and water cooled with 2 18" kicker comps fiberglassed into trunk and mb quart components and miss. Surprisingly I still have my hearing. Lol. Even worse was the chrome and gold dayton wire wheels on the car. Looking back quite ridiculous. But I suppose everyone needs a hobby and that was mine back then.lol

I still watch Ebay for old MTX cheater amps. Got 2 of them in my truck(250x & 275x). Never know when you'll need a replacement unit....

Don't forget to deduct the volume of airspace your subwoofer will consume to your box volume calculations.
For anyone interested, there are 120 cups of liquid in a cubic foot of space.
to figure the volume your subwoofer will take up, fill a 5 gallon bucket to the very top. Take your subwoofer, and loosely place it in a small trash bag, leaving a little slack around the basket. Lower the sub into the bucket up to the mounting ring, and it will displace some of the water from the bucket.
Now you need to refill the bucket, and count the # of cups it takes to get back to full.
Now do the math. Example. 8 cups to refill bucket..... 8 divided by 120 is .06 Your sub takes up .06 cu ft of Airspace.

Or do like the rest of us do, and take a wild guess!
Commonplace in a subwoofer enclosure is + or - 10% with no effect on performance.

I'm pretty sure the rest of us just look up the "driver displacement" in the specs.

Yes and it sounds amazing with a few inches to spare behind the box.

2 out of 100 actually list this spec. In the 30 or so years I've been doing installs, I've maybe seen a dozen that had it listed in the manuals.
