Bose radio battery symbol

So I have the Bose stereo in my 370 and have no idea what the hell the little battery symbol on it means its gone off once, but when I started it up again it came back. Anybody know what it's for?

If it has blue tooth it could be for phone to tell you how much battery is left on it.

I thought of that, but it's on all the time even when I don't have my phone on me
